Saying No to Jesus...

Have you answered No to Jesus? A lot of people now have found Jesus as someone who is just a myth or fairy tale some doubted His capacity to save and some doubted even His divinity. Some trusted more on the creation, some look up to other personalities and some offered and gave themselves to the enemy with promises of fame, wealth and protection.

Saying No to Jesus is the biggest mistake man could ever commit, it is a clear statement of rejection and rebellion to the One who purposely died on the cross to save our soul from eternal punishment, it is a clear statement of independence from God that “I can do this on my own and I don’t need Your help!” it is a clear statement of doubt and hatred, thinking that all the sufferings man have gone through is the result of an unloving God.

These thoughts, ideas or principles are a product of ignorance of God; remember that the prince of darkness has blinded the world so that “the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing” (1st Cor. 1:18).  People now live according to their senses; they failed to see what’s beyond the cross because they lack faith to embrace the teaching of Calvary. Jesus is presenting Himself as the only One who has the power to save; it is His utmost desire to introduce Himself to the world, to make Himself known. People’s concept of Jesus only proves of their ignorance and zero knowledge of God’s plan and purpose since the beginning of time. If people will continue to reject the truth about God then they have their sure reward.

But this should not be so, the Bible says in 2nd Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come into repentance”. It is God’s desire that the world may believe on Jesus on the basis of faith not on the basis of the miracles He has performed. His sacrificial death on the cross proved  God’s love for humanity and the willingness of the Divine Trinity to be reconciled to man (2nd Cor. 5:19, “…that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them”). What Jesus accomplished on the cross resulted to life, freedom and acquittal from judgment and this is made available to those who accepted by faith His death on the cross. He is offering eternal life, the assurance of life after death, that there is hope beyond the grave, (1st John 5:13) He is offering an eternal relationship that provides security, love, peace and joy despite of the tribulations, (John 15:15, John 1:12, John 14:27) He is offering victory against the wiles of the devil and that in Him you can do anything. (Philippians 4:13, Ephesians 6:11, Romans 8:37)

If these are the things Jesus can offer you, why would you reject? Why would you harden your hearts? Why not believe? Is there someone in this world that can give a better deal than Jesus? This world is passing away (1st John 2:17) nothing and no one in this world can give you assurance of salvation and life, all the riches of this world will rot and you cannot take them with you on the grave, beauty fades, fame is not eternal, the things this world has to offer you has its limit and expiration, what you hold on to dearly now may be gone tomorrow.

Now, If you are the ones who accepted the invitation of the devil, here’s what I have to say found in John 10:10, “The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy…” what he offered you has a temporal benefits, and in the end he will thank you for being a good servant of his. Satan is not someone to trust with because he is a liar and the father of it, John 8:44. There is no truth in him, so why would you believe and entrust your life to someone who is lying to you, he doesn’t know how to love, he will not sacrifice himself that you may gain life because he is not good and he will never be. His future is certain, same for those who followed him (Rev. 20:10).

Now I’m giving you the choice, you have all the rights to reject God but beware of the consequence, or you may choose to surrender your life to Him, that you may obtain His life. If you want to, please pray this prayer with me:

Jesus, I thank You for the life You shed on the cross,
I believed that by Your death I can have life eternal,
Now, I admit that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness
For all the things I have done, I am opening my heart
And I invite You to come and be my Savior and Lord,
Help me to live for You until the day of Your return
Amen

If you have prayed this prayer wholeheartedly, then believe that Christ lives in you, continue to walk in faith and in obedience to do His will, study His Word and pray. Remember, when you say “yes” to Jesus, it is your life you saved!
