Prayer for the Teens

Dear Lord:

It's been an honor to be used by You in many ways...now that You have chosen me to pastor the Junior Youth which is a new batch of young people in the future, it is my prayer that You set them apart for Your big work ahead, and at the present may they value the life You sacrificed on the cross, because it is their lives You who saved. May they realized that having fun in the godly way is not boring but worthy of heavenly citizenship. May they value their studies as this is the backbone of their future. May they value their life at the moment and learn to enjoy every single bit of it with You at the center, so that there will be no regrets when they reach old age. May they value their family and learn to be loving, polite, honest and helpful so that when one of their family dies, their mourning is the result of longing not a product of guilt and regrets. May they value correction and discipline as it leads them to a fruitful life. May they value waiting as this perfected their character, as time hones them to maturity, especially when it comes to the matters of the heart, teach them to wait for the right time and the right person You have reserve especially for them. May they value servant-hood because You are pleased with those who are humble and are willing to serve even it means cleaning their own room or doing the laundry or washing the dishes. May they value their Bible more than their cellphones or facebook account or twitter or any gadgets, for You Lord are a great companion more than the text messages, or friends on facebook or the followers on twitter...nothing and no one can ever replace You. May they value their words, that spoken words has the power to build and to destroy. And lastly, may they value time, for a lost time can never be recover so help them live each day as if this is their last day. Lord, I know how much You love them, I know that You have prepared a good future for them as long as they are going to obey, listen and be corrected, the future is theirs to decide so please help them to choose what's best not what feels good. Show them the life of the people who willingly disobey You and followed their own desires - nothing is wonderful in a life filled with misery such as teen pregnancy, unemployment, life of addiction and broken families due to impulsive decisions. So that when they reach the proper time, all the hardships, the tears, the money spent and the labors are all worth in the end.  This is my prayer.

 Love, Hazel
