Saying No to Jesus...
Have
you answered “No” to Jesus? A lot of people
now have found Jesus as someone who is just a myth or fairy tale some doubted
His capacity to save and some doubted even His divinity. Some trusted more on
the creation, some look up to other personalities and some offered and gave
themselves to the enemy with promises of fame, wealth and protection.
Saying
“No” to Jesus is the biggest
mistake man could ever commit, it is a clear statement of rejection and
rebellion to the One who purposely died on the cross to save our soul from
eternal punishment, it is a clear statement of independence from God that “I
can do this on my own and I don’t need Your help!” it is a clear statement of
doubt and hatred, thinking that all the sufferings man have gone through is the
result of an unloving God.
These thoughts, ideas or principles are
a product of ignorance of God; remember that the prince of darkness has blinded
the world so that “the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are
perishing” (1st Cor. 1:18). People
now live according to their senses; they failed to see what’s beyond the cross
because they lack faith to embrace the teaching of Calvary. Jesus is presenting
Himself as the only One who has the power to save; it is His utmost desire to
introduce Himself to the world, to make Himself known. People’s concept of Jesus
only proves of their ignorance and zero knowledge of God’s plan and purpose
since the beginning of time. If people will continue to reject the truth about
God then they have their sure reward.
But this should not be so, the Bible
says in 2nd Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise,
as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to
perish, but everyone to come into repentance”. It is God’s desire that the
world may believe on Jesus on the basis of faith not on the basis of the
miracles He has performed. His sacrificial death on the cross proved God’s love for humanity and the willingness of
the Divine Trinity to be reconciled to man (2nd Cor. 5:19, “…that
God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins
against them”). What Jesus accomplished on the cross resulted to life, freedom
and acquittal from judgment and this is made available to those who accepted by
faith His death on the cross. He is offering eternal life, the assurance of
life after death, that there is hope beyond the grave, (1st John
5:13) He is offering an eternal relationship that provides security, love,
peace and joy despite of the tribulations, (John 15:15, John 1:12, John 14:27)
He is offering victory against the wiles of the devil and that in Him you can
do anything. (Philippians 4:13, Ephesians 6:11, Romans 8:37)
If these are the things Jesus can offer
you, why would you reject? Why would you harden your hearts? Why not believe? Is
there someone in this world that can give a better deal than Jesus? This world
is passing away (1st John 2:17) nothing and no one in this world can
give you assurance of salvation and life, all the riches of this world will rot and
you cannot take them with you on the grave, beauty fades, fame is not eternal,
the things this world has to offer you has its limit and expiration, what you
hold on to dearly now may be gone tomorrow.
Now, If you are the ones who accepted
the invitation of the devil, here’s what I have to say found in John 10:10, “The
thief comes to steal, kill and destroy…” what he offered you has a temporal
benefits, and in the end he will thank you for being a good servant of his. Satan
is not someone to trust with because he is a liar and the father of it, John 8:44.
There is no truth in him, so why would you believe and entrust your life to someone
who is lying to you, he doesn’t know how to love, he will not sacrifice himself
that you may gain life because he is not good and he will never be. His future
is certain, same for those who followed him (Rev. 20:10).
Now I’m giving you the choice, you have
all the rights to reject God but beware of the consequence, or you may choose
to surrender your life to Him, that you may obtain His life. If you want to,
please pray this prayer with me:
Jesus,
I thank You for the life You shed on the cross,
I
believed that by Your death I can have life eternal,
Now,
I admit that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness
For
all the things I have done, I am opening my heart
And
I invite You to come and be my Savior and Lord,
Help
me to live for You until the day of Your return
Amen
If you have prayed this prayer
wholeheartedly, then believe that Christ lives in you, continue to walk in
faith and in obedience to do His will, study His Word and pray. Remember, when
you say “yes” to Jesus, it is your life you saved!

The Message of Lady Gaga's Concert to the Body of Christ
The prayer vigil,
protests of religious groups and other text brigade and blog that send messages
to stop the concert of the controversial Famed Monster Lady Gaga seems to add up
to the promotion and success of the concert. It intensifies the event and
somehow, Lady Gaga seems to enjoy the publicity. Despite the prayers of all
Christian groups why did this concert ever happen? What is the clear message of
God especially to the Body of Christ?
Have you ever think
what God wants to accomplish when what we are praying for didn’t happen according
to what we expect? God’s answer definitely is not focus on what we are praying
for but on us, the success of Lady Gaga’s concert gives us a clear message, the
Body of Christ needs to double up because the days are evil, the prince of this
world, the god of this age is taking over our entertainment industry, our
society, our community, our family and even our church. Our political system
are getting worst because of the craving for wealth and power, the morality of
our society is declining for the people have rejected the Biblical principle of
life, our family values is poor because we have dethroned God in the center of
our family and have replaced it with idols we have set up such as tv, computers
and other gadgets or even our jobs, and Christians are getting worldly because
we allowed ourselves to be influenced by the world.
Indeed the enemy is
doing everything to kill, steal and destroy and he seems to succeed, he will
succeed if the Christians, the followers of Jesus will not do anything, will be
contented as church goers or attendees and doesn’t care about the world and the
Gospel. More and more people will be hooked to the snares of the devil and
he is now presenting himself in the open, he is not concealed anymore and the
sad reality is, the people are accepting this. Now, as Christians, we should
not busy ourselves with protests, meaningless debates on who’s wrong and right,
or church activities, we should expose the agenda of the enemy and his plan…I’m not saying that church activities are wrong, what I’m
saying is instead of focusing on these things, let’s prioritize all the more on
the things that will lead people to Christ, let’s do something that will impact
our community, the world will not be saved with timeless and meaningless
debates of doctrines that divide the Body of Christ, the world will not be
saved with mere faith but faith with powerful and passionate action embedded
with love, these will convince the world that we Christians are not superficial
but are speaking the truth with love and compassion. Let's pray that the eyes of whom satan has blinded may be open that they may see the truth of his lies and that his main intention is to destroy.
God is sending the
message that as part of the Body of Christ let’s be passionate about leading
people to the Savior, being vigilant, acting urgently because the enemy is
doing the same thing, he is serious to take as many people as he can to eternal
death, but we must not allow this to happen, that someone may be your loved
one, your family, your neighbors, your friends… what kind of Christian are you
if you are just going to let it happen? Instead of fighting the war brought
upon by the enemy with human strength and means, let’s continue to win the
battle by doing the things the enemy doesn’t want you to do, he doesn’t want
you to evangelize, he doesn’t want you to be holy, he doesn’t want you to be
focused, he doesn’t want you to commit to God’s work, he doesn’t want you to love
and care for the lost souls, he doesn’t want you to pray and know the Word of
God, he doesn’t want you to know the truth. Imagine if we Christians will do
what the enemy doesn’t want us to do, we will be gaining favor from God and we
will be able to move God’s hands to act upon the condition of the world, He is
doing something, but what God wants to see is how passionate and serious are we
in our commitment to Him, He has shown us the spiritual poverty of this world
and it is up to us to do our part triple time…because the days are evil, let’s
redeem the time!

On Loving Our Celebrities...
I have read a blog entitled:
"Celebrities Need Love Too" by Justin Bedeviant, he was discussing
about sending a twitter message to a celebrity, Katy Perry and how she was
loved and cared for by God which is really an awesome thought to ponder. His
idea is something new and somewhat encouraging especially for most of us who
are totally exposed to the world of entertainment, I myself am a fan of The
Avengers, and I grow interest not only in the movies but also in some of the
personalities of this amazing film, however, on the other hand, as a Christian,
I think it’s not enough to just admire them, or PM them in facebook or follow
them on twitter, I do think that we have the responsibility to support and lift
them up in prayer.
I have visited sites and
pages dedicated to some of these amazing actors, and the comments the fans gave
would really blow you away! One of the comments that I have read says, “Get me
pregnant…!” which is really a WOW for me, not a wow of excitement but a wow of
disbelief! What can I say?! This may not be offensive to the actors (I don’t
know, I keep thinking…hmmm!) but is there anything better that we could say to
these celebrities other than that?
Justin’s blog is really
something, because it is true, that celebrities need love too, not that kind of
passionate love or erotic love that you would fantasize them in bed, they need
the love that we Christians can give, it is the kind of love that Jesus have
for the lost soul, for the sinners like you and me who have been forgiven by
His grace, they need the love of people who will pray for them, that somehow
they will hear the Gospel of Christ that would give them salvation, this kind
of love will not only support their movies but will tried hard in order to send
these celebrities messages telling them how God loves them even if your
messages seem nothing to them.
It is true that there
are lost souls in the mission field like in the poorest places in the world, or
in communist countries where obedience and love for God is forbidden: these are
mostly the object of our prayers for salvation, and there’s nothing wrong with
that, as a matter of fact, we really need to extend more help to these unfortunate
ones, however, that doesn’t mean that the rich and famous celebrities are
fortunate and need no divine intervention from us Christians, we also need to
do something for them, imagine if these celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Beyonce,
Jeremy Renner, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and other famous artists would be a
Christian, what impact they could make to the whole world! God said in His
words found in Isaiah 59:1, “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to
save, nor His ear too dull to hear.” Our awesome God is mighty to save, He can
and will save!
God did answered our
prayers for Congressman and boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, and look how
tremendously God changed and is using his life! So let’s include our
celebrities in our prayer life, they needed it badly, surely you don’t want to
see them die and perish in hell, after all distance and gap doesn’t matter to
God what He needs is a willing heart to believe and do something. Just few
more insights, in 2nd Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slow in
keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not
wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
The next time you post a
comment to any of your favorite stars, write something that is life-changing
and inspiring, you’ll never know, maybe God would speak to them through your
message. How exciting that can be?!

Prayer for the Celebrities
I had this desire to include the celebrities to my prayer list...I was thinking that despite of the worsening condition of our movie industry there are still a lot of good things going on there. Therefore, I think that as Christians it is alright to pray for them knowing that the impact they would leave to our children would give a lasting impression, it affects their way of life, their decisions and their conduct, beliefs and principles. Honestly, not all movies show positive influence on our kids, this is something that we need to deal with and we need to be vigilant to accompany them as they plunge into the world or entertainment.
This is one of the reason I am compelled to lift the celebrities in prayer, the roles they portray affect our values, I just pray that not only they care for money but they care for the viewers, they care for what they would inculcate in the minds of their fans so as not to lead them astray from the faith and from the Biblical principles of life. I perfectly understand that some of the celebrities have their own faith and religion, but I believe in God who works even in the impossible that He can bridge the gap and break whatever bondage the enemy has set in the movie industry. He can lighten the minds of the disillusioned, He can straighten the crooked path and He can cleanse the filthiness brought about by sin. He can do this because He is an able God! I pray that He will bring His salvation to our celebrities whom we love and admire, that they would be a role model for the world to see, because there are a lot of issues of divorce, immorality, violence crime etc., in the world of entertainment, and these are the things we don't want our family especially our children to be involve with...remember, if no one will pray for them who will?

Love Can Wait
Love can wait...why in a hurry? Young people right now are so preoccupied with love ideas, feelings and a lot of things that matters to the heart. As early as 10 or 12 you can read news about teen pregnancies, abortion and other complications due to impulsive behavior towards opposite sex. Well, I myself have experienced to be in love and infatuated, I remember having crush on one of my neighbors who rejected me and the worst part is, when he tore the love letter I wrote him, he tore it right before my eyes! I have experienced to be fooled and laughed at because I cannot control my emotions every time my crush would pass by or when I caught a glimpse of him!
All of it was just a part of my past which taught me a valuable lesson, love is not to be beg for, it will naturally come at the right time and at the right person, I am not referring to Mr. or Ms. Perfect, what I am saying is, as a person you have the right to be treated right, you don't need to beg for love, you don't need to buy it, people will give it to you willingly not because you are famous, pretty, intelligent etc., that's why it is important to wait. Because when you wait, you rely on God, you tell Him to take care of your life even your love life, because He did care about it more than you'll ever know! Some people lost their sense of self-respect and value of themselves when they throw themselves to someone who is not even in love with them. Remember, Jesus, the King of kings, Lord of all, loved you the most, He doesn't want you to be hurt or be treated worthless, why would you allow a human being hurt you, use you and fool you? You don't deserve that! Please consider that when you hasten to love and you allow your emotions to rule over you, most unlikely you will do stupid things and choose the inferior things and it's too late to realize this reality - too late I mean, when you are wallowing in self pity and depression because the person you love has rejected you after giving yourself, your time and even your money, when you are thinking about abortion because of unwanted pregnancy, when you are thinking about suicide because you've been fooled. I just hope that before these things happen to you, think wisely, wait and wait and wait. Because the perfect person God has reserve for you is also waiting for you at the right time. Think about this!
Prayer for the Teens
Dear Lord:
Love, Hazel
It's been an honor to be used by You in many ways...now that You have chosen me to pastor the Junior Youth which is a new batch of young people in the future, it is my prayer that You set them apart for Your big work ahead, and at the present may they value the life You sacrificed on the cross, because it is their lives You who saved. May they realized that having fun in the godly way is not boring but worthy of heavenly citizenship. May they value their studies as this is the backbone of their future. May they value their life at the moment and learn to enjoy every single bit of it with You at the center, so that there will be no regrets when they reach old age. May they value their family and learn to be loving, polite, honest and helpful so that when one of their family dies, their mourning is the result of longing not a product of guilt and regrets. May they value correction and discipline as it leads them to a fruitful life. May they value waiting as this perfected their character, as time hones them to maturity, especially when it comes to the matters of the heart, teach them to wait for the right time and the right person You have reserve especially for them. May they value servant-hood because You are pleased with those who are humble and are willing to serve even it means cleaning their own room or doing the laundry or washing the dishes. May they value their Bible more than their cellphones or facebook account or twitter or any gadgets, for You Lord are a great companion more than the text messages, or friends on facebook or the followers on twitter...nothing and no one can ever replace You. May they value their words, that spoken words has the power to build and to destroy. And lastly, may they value time, for a lost time can never be recover so help them live each day as if this is their last day.
Lord, I know how much You love them, I know that You have prepared a good future for them as long as they are going to obey, listen and be corrected, the future is theirs to decide so please help them to choose what's best not what feels good. Show them the life of the people who willingly disobey You and followed their own desires - nothing is wonderful in a life filled with misery such as teen pregnancy, unemployment, life of addiction and broken families due to impulsive decisions. So that when they reach the proper time, all the hardships, the tears, the money spent and the labors are all worth in the end. This is my prayer.
Love, Hazel
